A few years ago, while working at a downtown Washington DC hospital, a fairly young sounding mom called one evening at three days postpartum to say she had read the formula can for mixing directions and noticed on the label some information stating that breastmilk was best for a baby. She said if that's true she wanted to breastfeed her baby and wanted to know if it was too late, and she was glad to hear that it was not too late. She may have been exposed to similar 'breastfeeding is best' info prenatal, but it just didn't compute at the time. Deb
