And just to throw in my .02 worth of advice, don't forget that hunger can be a major factor in morning sickness. If you can break the cycle, keep eating and don't let yourself get too hungry! And I also agree - eat whatever sounds good!>>> I agree wholeheartedly. When I was 10 days overdue (24 days pregant) I ate french fries. I became terrible sick for a couple of days, vomitting. Even plain water came out. I lived on sugarwater for a couple of days. For the rest of the pregnancy I couldn't break the cycle hungry-nausuated-eating-vomitting anymore. I kept vomitting for the whole pregnancy. Every bit of fat made me terrible sick. During my second pregancy I was bettle able to prevent coming in this cycle. I still vomitted for 9 months but didn't became that sick that I could only bear sugar water. Most of the given suggestions didn't work. However later I found out I had gallstones, my gallbladder was removed and the surgeon said ther migth have been a relation to my severe prengancy sickness. Third pregnany was beteer, I still was ill, vomitted only for 6 months, but the usual recommendation against "morning" sickness worked better this time (eg lemon). To bring the issue back on the topic of bf: I weaned my first son when I became pregnant bc I was afraid to become that sick again and would starve myself (and the baby inside me). Docter gave me metoclopramide, and the info said "not compatible with breastfeeding". What a surprise for me to found out that you recommend it for increasing milk supply! And now I've heard several times that since nursing has a balancing effect on sugarlevels in the mothers, that it migth have a positive effect on "morning" sickness. Indeed the "morning" sickness during my second pregnancy only started after I weaned my son. :( -- Annelies Bon mother of Dirk 6yo, Tom 4yo, Pieter 1yo bf counsellor Borstvoeding Natuurlijk http://utopia.knoware.nl/users/vbn/
