Just had an experience that gave me a "ta-taa" (like it suddenly sunk in to my
think head what I was doing...)

I find that with teens here in PR (who often have large breasts), the football
hold and using a rolled washcloth works best for helping them breastfeed.

Today - it dawned on me that one of the reasons is that most of them feel very
uncomfortable touching their breasts - so with the washcloth supporting the
breast and the one hand supporting the baby, she really doesn't have to touch
her breast for too long - just to help with attachment. Without the washcloth,
, they let go and the heavy breast would fall out - and mom wouldn't help to get
it back in, but wait until I did it. (Yes, I do touch breasts and don't keep my
hands behind my back as some well-known LC's do).

Just thought I'd share my new-found discovery with a few friends...
