In other words, mom *also* can eat (food obtained from WIC coupons) as long as she BFs; if she doesn't BF, baby will be fed (formula) but not mom (no more WIC coupons for her). Has this changed? Is it different according to each WIC location? >> Hi All, WIC provides food vouchers to BF moms for the first year only. After that BF is basically considered "optional" because most babies are on solids by that time. Personally, I think that as long as mom and baby are BF mom should be treated to the extra food. Also, some moms do combo BF and Bot feeding. They get a reduced food pack and a formula (tho not the full amount that a totally formula feeding mom would get). If a BF mom asks for a full formula packet, then she automatically loses the food pack for BF moms. At least that is the way it is here In Sacramento, CA! Jay
