Years ago I read an article concerning beelining. I have yet to try this technique myself and I am recalling the basics from memory. The technique included the idea of triangulating the bee lines. Basically after you have sufficient bees in the box to let one go and set a line of site. Set a sight line by placing a pole with a stick pointing in the general direction. You then move off to an angle of the beeline and let another bee go. Set another sight line. Now move back across the first site line still moving in the general direction. Let another bee go and set the third site line. With the three lines set you can now walk a considerable distance toward the intersection of the three lines of site before repeating the process. ========================== Rough Diagram ============================== Bee Tree . . . . . . . . . ______[bbb] . . _____- [bbb] . _____- [bbb] 3. . . _____- . _____- .. _____- [bbb] _____- Move Bees across 1st line --> [bbb]_____ - [bbb] \ 2. \ . \ . . \ . /|\ \ . | \ .
