I am sure most of you saw my posts about the new kits and me being the only one with a problem. Well I was told I would receive a new adv kit and an new old kit. They said they wanted to check them for defects. I experienced less suction on one side and less over all milk output (about 1 to 1 ˝ oz on each side). It also took me longer to pump and I still felt as if more could be pumped. When the other kit seemed to be finished I switched to the old kit and funny….I got the rest of my milk! I mentioned to the person who orders our stock that I STILL had not received anything in the mail or even a phone call. She told me a few days later that she had talked to the rep who said the head engineer of kit development and testing was on vacation. Strange and convenient! I would take a vacation too! Anyone else heard anything? As for vanilla paci’s I had a mom who was given one of those horror devices in the hospital. The baby was doing great, a real nursing pro. Then grandma came to town (can you hear the music…dum dum dummm!) Anyway she insisted the mother use the paci so he would not become too dependent. She called after 6 days of grandma. Guess what? No more nursing pro! We used an sns and I also had the mother buy some vanilla scented soap from the bath store. When mom smelled like vanilla the baby was all ready and seemed excited. When mom smelled like mom the baby had a whole different outlook! Grandma went home and baby is nursing without the aid of a sns and without vanilla soap! Michelle Ramsey
