Hello To All:

I just wanted to post a few words about my success using baggie feeders.
Compared to the other methods I have tried (i.e., entrance feeder, hive
top pail and divison board feeders),it is VERY slick indeed. I put 2
gallon baggies w/2.5 qts of syrup per bag in each hive on Tuesday 8/20.
I just came in from checking their progress and found all baggies
        completely drained!

In spite of my plans to use an excluder to support the baggies I ended
up just placing them right on the top bars of the frames. The girls
didn't
seem to mind. I observed that most of the workers seemed to be having
problems moving thru the excluders (see next post).

Thanks to Frank H. for posting information about this ingenious
method of
feeding. I am very favorably impressed at this point. Except now I
have to
go out and buy more sugar! Will my unemployment check hold up to an
increase
in the sugar budget? Stay tuned.

        Regards,
