An old fashioned "here, here" to Barbara Wilson-Clay and Wendy Ready for
their admission that they work to soak up everything they can in order to
learn and use information about breastfeeding. I feel the same way. I
don't think I could ever go back to being a chiropractor because I just don't
have that hunger to learn about backs anymore the way I hunger for material
for breastfeeding.

I guess that's why it irks me when women call to find out how to become LL
Leaders in order to become LC's 'cause they've breastfed a kid and are
looking for a job with an income. I don't feel that most of these people
have that "something extra" it takes to stick with it. If I sensed a strong
calling in them I'd probably do more than talk about the requirements for
being a LLL Leader and tell them about the correspondence courses available.

It seems that most of us here on Lactnet have dedicated ourselves to being
LC's because we have this hunger and are so rewarded by our work.
