Greetings from NH where it is still winter.
First of all, I too nursed a 4 month old through chicken pox - hers, and mine,
without doubt or question.
Secondly, I have a client with a 3 week old baby who has very painful nipples
while nursing. Latch-on is fine, no signs of thrush, though the pain is of
similiar description, intact nipples. She does, however have very white
nipples (the entire nipple) after nursing or pumping. They pink up with warm
moist heat but then return to blanching when heat is removed. There has been
discussion of this and Raynaud's here previously but I do not recall that
response. Any explanations or suggestions for care? I can be reached
privately at Cynthia K. [log in to unmask] Thanks!!
