Katherind D wrote about a baby that spit up after feeds. My third baby had a similar pattern as a young baby. He would nurse for about 45 min to an hour around 11:00 AM and then sleep until 6:00 PM. He did sleep with me, so he did nurse all night on and off. He spit up all over me in bed too. It was weird because I didn't feel like I had a baby in the house. He also spit up profusly. We used to call him "slimer" because he was dribbling milk almost all the time. Even after he was old enough to sit up by himself. His birth weight was 9lb 15 oz. At 3 months he weighed 21 lb. He was a very healthy, normal baby and aside from his throwing up (sometimes large quantities) being an inconvievce, it never occured to me or my doctor that there was any thing wrong with the baby. He is now an 8 year old boy and weighs 91 lb. I guess he was just meant to be large (I'm 5'8"- my brother is 6'4" and was a huge baby too). Nancy Sherwood Perth, Australia
