Hi Everyone,
Permission to post: I was just called by a very upset mom of a 8 month old who stepped on a acupuncture needle yesterday. The acupuncturist is unsure whether the needle had been used, or whether it dropped from a sterile pack. It did not go deep enough into her foot to draw blood, but she felt a burning pain. She called her MD yesterday, who said that it was her choice whether she should continue to breastfeed or not. The mom has been pumping and freezing her milk, and feeding baby formula. She is very worried about her baby contracting a disease like Hepatitis or HIV. Does anyone have any information about what to do in a situation like this?

Thanks so much!
