I would say aerodynamics isn't the whole story to fewer bugs, but it could
very well be part of it.  I know that I get way more bugs on the jeep
windshield than the car, I assume because of the windshield angle.  It's
hard to compare year to year models to generalize.  You may also simply
need to look at mowing, more mowing fewer bugs.  I don't know how well
roads were mowed in the past, but windshields are only going to pick up
bugs on the road.  I guess I agree there are likely fewer bugs, but
windshields are hardly the best way to go about evaluating it.
