As I've said before, the work.coming out of the Moran lab is excellent.

I find it baffling that most of the researchers looking at the microbes in the hive don't seem to want to look at treated/fed bees separately from untreated/undefined.  It is well established that all treatments and feeds affect the microbes.  We can learn a lot more about the microbes if we look at what they look like without inputs.  Data on what the microbes look like in bee lab bees is more informative if we also can look at data from wild and/or unfed untreated bees.
