Heard report of a pilot project for research of this point at a convention once. Her research showed that application of cold to the nipple-areolar complex does not interfere with MER. So I have never worried about it since. 

That would be one sure way to test if it were in fact Raynaud's!!!!Mom would certainly not appreciate it of course, if venous spasms occurred, but if there is no blanching/pain response, that would certainly seem to rule it out!!!
