At about 1:36 it shows the hive body being rotated 180 degrees.  Any idea of
>the reason for this?

The aim of 180 degrees hive body rotation is to increase the brood. By doing so, the honey that was originally behind the brood is now in front of it, just behid the entrance. Bees are now removing the honey and freeing up the space for qween to lay the eggs. This is the method of increasing the brood which is used by serbian beekeepers.
