I have had a case like this - chiropractic worked wonders. Frenotomy alone was not enough to resolve suck problems and maternal pain. After adjustment the difference was astounding.
Hope this helps

Frenotomy at 4 months for maternal nipple and breast pain and habit of choking during feeds. After frenotomy, feeding causing even more pain--seems to move her tongue around alot under the nipple as she feeds. Had also refused the bottle while mom at work a few nights and finally began bottle feeding again this week. Although not blanching, tried warmth to mom's nipples after feeds which she reports feels good but hasn't reduced pain overall. Have tried course of antibiotics for possible mastitis. OT from NICU has consulted with me and feels baby will improve with massage and exercise. Am I missing anything that might address maternal pain now? Is the worsening suck something anyone else has seen? Going on 4 weeks of misery now...I'd love to hear your ideas!
