The TV series "White Collar" recently did an episode, "Where There's A
Will," set at NYC's Hayden Planetarium (renamed Manning Planetarium for
the show). Favorite line: "During the day the place is practically
deserted and there's only two employees." One of the employees is Felix
"the docent," who has gray hair, wears red livery, sells tickets, and
knows all the obscure history of the place. The sundial scene is
preposterous, but it's a cute story, based on the idea of a planetarium as
a bond between generations. The episode is still up on Hulu.
