Sad story, and one that could have included a non-breastfeeding child.  I travel more lately and my first thought was how small and cramped the spaces, how little sympathy for mothers and small children, how exhausting all the shuffling and waiting -- even for those of us not 4 weeks postpartum.  Mothers with infants on long flights often find themselves in precarious positions they would not have chosen, muffled in the noise and half-sleep all around.  I hope we will hear a bit more but my heart goes out to this poor mother, suffering her personal tragedy in such a public way.

On a side note, it was disorienting to see the highlighted bottle in the posed shot of breastfeeding.
