This index of negatives is actually quite helpful. No composer attempts to write in those ways; even commercially inspired composers writing jingles are seeking to "move" listeners. So when one finds oneself unmoved, or even hostile to music, it is still educational to attempt to figure out why. I shall do so using Steve's categories and any others anyone wishes to add. However, "unmelodic" will never be on my personal list of negatives.
