I have now worked with several infants with varying degrees of laryngomalacia. Head extension to keep the airway open and pacing the feedings are two key factors in helping these babies cope. Many cases are mild to moderate, and once parents understand what is happening and that it is temporary, they learn to help baby cope. Severe situations may require feeding assistance. Interestingly, I've flagged some before the pediatrician has because they presented as feeding problems or concerns. ~Lisa Marasco *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html To reach list owners: [log in to unmask] Mail all list management commands to: [log in to unmask] COMMANDS: 1.
