The American Chamber Ensemble Presents Sweet Springtime Concert on April 22 at Hofstra University The American Chamber Ensemble's "Sweet Springtime" concert will take place on Sunday, April 22 - 3 p.m. when the Music Department of Hofstra University presents ACE at the University's Monroe Lecture Center Theater on California Avenue in Hempstead. Repertoire for this concert will be Daniel Gregory Mason's Pastorale for violin, clarinet and piano and Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, songs by Gabriel Faure and Long Island composer Douglas Moore, selections from Max Bruch's Eight Pieces for clarinet, viola and piano and David Diamond's Quintet in b minor for flute, string trio and piano. Performers for this concert will be the Directors of the American Chamber Ensemble, pianist Blanche Abram and clarinetist Naomi Drucker, who will be joined by pianist Marilyn Sherman Lehman, violinist Eriko Sato, violist Lois Martin, cellist Chris Finckel and flutist Patricia Spencer. Special guest artist will be soprano Karen Lehman. Tickets for the April 22 concert are available at the Hofstra University Box Office for $10 ($8 senior citizens 65+ and non-Hofstra students).
