As many of you on this list know, I like to collect less familiar repertoire. From time to time I have shared recordings with some of you and have wanted to make the list of my collection available for the curious. I believe this link should work. Just click on "My abbreviated catalog." https://webspace.utexas.edu/xythoswfs/webui/kfmiller A few words about this list would seem appropriate. I tried to cut out the familiar repertoire like Beethoven Symphonies, etc. unless they featured a somewhat less frequently encounter performance. The listing includes materials I had acquired prior to 1996, hence, if some repertoire is listed that has been recorded subsequent to that date, my listing is for a broadcast performance. The list includes composer only title information, except when I would acquire a second recording of a work. Since the list was designed for those who traded tapes with me, if I got a better sounding version of a work I might relist the piece with (Improved recording) next to the entry. You will also find typos and the like. The list was digitized, as I recall by Jim Moskowitz who scanned the pages of my typed lists and organized it all. Along the same lines, I thought I would post the URL for the work of a correspondant of mine, Dr. Allan Ho. We have often discussed things like "how many symphonies" etc. His list, last updated in December, includes a discography of works for piano and orchestra. http://www.siue.edu/~aho/discography/Discography.pdf As one who loves lists...for those of you who are not obsessive in your collecting, I thought you might like to know what else might be out there, and for those of you who are obsessive...well, you might take some comfort in knowing that you are not alone... I should add that when compared to those I trade with...my list is relatively short! Over the years I have extracted some subject lists...music for specific holidays and subjects. During the summer I hope to make those available. In discussions with Dave...and feel free to correct me...some of these lists might be mounted at classical.net and become something we can all contribute to. I would also wonder if any other subscribers to the classical list might have their holdings listed so they can be viewed. Karl
