The Naxos recording of 1 and 2 featuring Ilya Kaler is excellent: http://www.naxos.com/CAT/550649.HTM He has some other first-rate recordings on Naxos; that of the six unaccompanied Ysaye sonatas is particularly recommended, although I wouldn't recommend listening to all six in one go as the medium is austere and "difficult". (I cannot comment on 3-6, not being familiar with them). Alastair
