"I think that whether intentionally or not, these stories, particularly
the U.S. News & World Report one, are aimed right at the hearts of working
women and implicitly endorse a stopgap, short-term solution that is not
family-friendly, one that will not help kids. That is the notion that
women should quit work for a few years after childbirth."

She seems to espouse either that women can have it all if social policy
would just step in more, or they should change their lives as little as
possible post-child...I'm not sure which.
