I'm glad Heather commented, because she has experience. I will say one thing which occured to me when describing this mom's interaction ( or lack of) with her child. It almost sounds like the babies in the old orphanage studies who were not near the door and got little people interaction failing to thrive. A mom at wit's end, as was described, might be willing to adapt her parenting to include trying wearing this baby as much as possible for a time. It won't fix everything obviously, but it might provide something else this baby is seriously lacking other than food and normal digestion and it might open the door for change. Hope this helps, Judy LeVan Fram, PT, IBCLC *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
