OK- here's one for you all- I have permission to post this question. I have a mom who had a breast reduction 5 years ago that included nipple repositioning. She delivered 3 weeks ago- really wanted to breastfeed. Has very slight breastchanges during pregnancy and post partum and we started on fenugreek due to infant weight loss/low production. Slight improvement but we went up on the dosing to 2 QID (4000 mg).. mom noticed about a week ago that son's breast buds were swollen and had Drs. check it out. Now mom has called and said that son's breasts are leaking milk (?) and asks if the fenugreek could be causing this. Since it does stimulate prolactin receptors does enough pass through maternal milk to influence the son? I never have encountered this... any ideas?
