I only see moms/babies having problems, so I realize I have a warped
perspective. But talking about mouth/nipple mismatch has reminded me of
how moms often ask me how babies survived in the past if they and their
mother's nipples were a poor match. I always tell them I assume that it
was usually because someone was available to wet-nurse, or that perhaps
mothers were more willing to nurse continuously if necessary. But I do
often wonder what percentage of babies say 200 years ago had serious
trouble latching/removing milk.

Do we know anything about this?
