Years ago, at least a dozen,  a co-worker was told by a patient that the "
laxative lady" helped her breastfeed! I was never quite sure if she was
referrring to me, the only LC at the time, or the nurse passing out  bedtime
stool softeners! At the very least, these types of comments on our
profession and especially this personal favorite of mine keeps me pretty
humble about what we do on a daily basis!
