So am I. Donizetti certainly completed his 1835 Requiem in memory of
Bellini, if my sources are to be believed.

Maybe I am wrong, but I must admit that I have honestly never doubted
them: the French musicologist and critic Francois-Rene Tranchefort,
for instance, or Gottfried Kraus, Andante's music recording and
archive specialist, who also wrote the notes to the Orfeo recording I
have (1984).

Vilmos Lesko edited a score for Ricordi (1975) from the original
manuscript and two copies preserved in the Naples Conservatory
Library and in Bergamo respectively - once more if I am right to
believe my sources...
