I'm Marina Baldocci ,an italian IBCLC and I write asking you for a favour.I understand Lactnet is read all over the world and not everybody is so fluent in english to understand all the abbreviations used. Please ,it you are going to abbreviate a term write it, to start with, fully and then cut it short, if you need to. I have also a technical question. Some midwives I know are convinced that ,in case of very sore nipples, the application of Premarin, an estrogenic cream(usually used for menopausal dystrofia)for 24 hours will solve all the problems. They have used it on themselves and they believe it does miracles. Have you ever heard of something like this? I try to tell them about the risks for the baby receiving hormones but they keep on recommending it. Do you know of any literature I can show them?
