Hi, I'm hoping to tap into the collective wealth of all of your day-to-day experiences! In the June 2001 issue of Pediatrics, there was a study published (Fewtrell et al.) in which 145 mothers of premies compared the Avent Isis hand pump with an Ameda Egnell rental pump (with a double pumping kit). The mothers pumped on average of 3-4 times per day and the mothers expressed comparable amounts of milk with the Avent Isis as they did with the hospital-grade automatic double pump (~200 ml per day). What are your thoughts on this and have you had experience with mothers using an Avent Isis who are pumping only or attempting to establish a milk supply with one? Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated!! -Jeanne Cygnus The Art of Breastfeeding Mundelein, IL USA *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
