OK,

Why has no one mentioned that most delicious of southern snack foods -
boiled peanuts?  Green peanuts, in the shell, boiled in brine for hours in a
pot (preferably outdoors - it smells like cooking dirt) and eaten somewhere
where you can just throw the shells any old place.  I have noticed that they
are available in many convenience-type stores along 95 these day - at least
in Georgia and Florida.  Sometimes they are available in regular and Cajun.
