HISTORICAL ARCHAEOLOGIST POSITION
The Department of Anthropology at the College of William and Mary invites
applicants for a tenure track position in Historical Archaeology to be
filled at the level of assistant professor or associate professor.
Candidates must have a solid knowledge of current method and theory, with a
research interest in comparative colonialism to support a new PhD program
with a focus on Historical Archaeology and Historical Anthropology. An
established program of field research and scholarly publications are
required (PhD in hand); Eastern North America or the Caribbean strongly
preferred. Some experience in cultural resource management desirable.
Experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and
graduate levels is required. Review  begins on January 15, 2002 and
continues until the position is filled. Send letter of application, CV, and
