I must have missed something on this being caused by breastfeeding. People WILL blame breastfeeding for anything. Had a call from a woman today who is 7 weeks postpartum. Had normal 6 week checkup last week. Since then, has started having intercourse again. She complains of severe pain immediately following intercourse. No problems during intercourse. No problems during orgasm. Gets worse if she stands up. Upon further investigation, states that it feels like a pulling or pressure or opening up feeling, just like it did when she was having the baby, in between pushing. Sounds like it is in the cervix. She called her doctor and described what was going on to him. He told her it was caused by breastfeeding. WHAT?! I don't get it. Am I just totally stupid? I looked in all my books and in the archives and couldn't find anything that I could link to breastfeeding. PLEASE let me know if I'm overlooking some information that I should know about this. Thanks.
