We are strictly in the LC role. We do "pitch in" under adverse conditions
like when several babies are coming at once or emergency c/s whatever. I may
feed a baby, take a set of vital signs, man the desk to answer phone,
"babysit" briefly in the nicu, whatever, but this is very rare. We wear
scrubs which I prefer. Very often a baby has peed on me or worse during a
consult. Or assisting a very new baby just born can be a little messy
sometimes.
