At the Beekeeping Short Course at the Univ. of Ill. at Urbana-Champaign last month, Mr. Omar Jassim, a forth year medical student I believe, gave a lecture on bee sting reactions. He said that large local reactions can occur up to 7 days later. Anaphylactic reactions can have systemic reactions from 10 minutes to 72 hours after the stinging incidence. It is a reaction to the antigens in the body that were produced after the first incidence. This person is at risk for another occurence if stung again. Richard Ky.,USA
