If you're serious, you will need at least three:

1) Spitta, for his monumental work on all facets related to Bach's life
and work.

2) Schweitzer, for his insight into performance of Bach's works.

3) Wolff (Bach: The Learned Musician), for an update on the two above.

These should keep you busy for a while.  Enjoy.
