I received a request from a nurse/student in Peru - she reads English, so she asked that I post this to the list. Her research is based on "What is the quality or condition of life for the mothers who breastfeed exclusively". She does not wish to misuse our resources, but she would like to know some information about the history of breastfeeding, some cultural norms and the socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the woman. ( I had already answered that "quality of life" during breastfeeding is very broad - when she just delivered and is sore and engorged? When baby is smiling, with milk flowing out of the mouth and mom is full of the hormones of love? When she works and has to express milk - but has a healthy baby and does not have to miss work? when she has the brightest kid on the block? when she watches her adult child breastfeed or support his wife breastfeeding?) Please answer her directly - I am taking Pathophysiology this semester (UGH!!!)... I'm already experiencing each and every one of the symptoms presented...
