I picked up a CD of Danish composer Asger Hamerik's first two symphonies on Marco Polo. Lovely, lovely music. I won't be throwing away my Brahms and Dvorak any time soon as a result, but I'm still very happy with my purchase. I was able to get the recording cheap through a commercial music club. I also recently ordered through the same music club CDs of symphonies by Tournemire (sp?) and Menin, "sound unheard" so to speak. What am I in for, anything good? And if anyone has recommendations of little known 19th century symphonists, I'd be glad to hear about it. Matthew Huston [log in to unmask]
