ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Does anyone keep a record of the number of program hours they deliver
per month or per year? Is there a standard or general rule of thumb for
how many program hours a small, midsize, or large museum or science
center should deliver to their visitors? For example, if a mid-size
science center delivered 400 program hours to schools and general
visitors per month, is this number average, under, or excessive for that
size science center? FYI- I define a program hour as the actual time it
takes to deliver a program plus set up and take down time, so a 30
minute demo, requiring 15 minutes set up and 15 minutes take down,
equals one program hour
