Hello to Everyone, from a new participant. G'Day, Bill(y) Kitson, yes,
'tis one and the same "...tony" from OneList.
After many messages back -n- forth about repeats, i am reminded of a,
perhaps, illustrative reference from another of the Performing Arts.
Peter Martins (New York City Ballet), in discussing the creation of a new
ballet, said that the great George Balanchine once told Martins that, in
the creation of a new work, you look at what you have written;; if it is
good, then you feel free to use it a second time.
If, however, it is passable but not truly "good", then you write something
else, and continue on.
Perhaps there is a corollary there for the world of Classical Music.
