In reply to my post Friday, quite a few of you
wrote requesting I emailour handout on
self-attachment that we give to moms for use with
babies of any age.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize that Lactnet can't
accept attachments, so the "self-attachment"
attachment was not attached in my orginal post, a
virtual latch refusal as it were. Self-detached.

At any rate, if anyone else is interested in our
self-attachment handout for moms, please feel free
to email me privately.

The handout is aimed at moms, to help our moms
after we have already been thru it with them, to
review what we have done in the office for
take-home. But we do sometimes email it to moms
before their appt with us, and it does often seem
to help even before they see us, so I guess in
some circumstances it can stand on its own.
There's a lot more to it than this one little
handout gives, and for the LC I think it's helpful
to have the neurobehavioral background for all of
this, but that's more than I can send in an email.

I also did post about this about a year and a half
ago on Lactnet, in I think a little more detail.
