Dear Joy, and all my sisters..

Re: the questions about ovarian cancer,,,,I saw a wonderful Doctor last
year.. Dr Christiane Northrup. @ a seminar called "Empowering Women." I
HIGHLY recommend her book.. "Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom." EVERY women
should own this book!! She even showed a slide of a breastfeeding mother
and talked about BF for a few minutes. Her focus is on the emotions that
lead to disease. The thought patterns, behavior patterns etc...that we
"Inherit from our family" One quote:

"I've finally realized that I am not my mother. I don't have to live out
her life in my body." In families in which there is genetic disease, we
should study those members who DON"T get the disease. Most likely they are
the individuals who broke the family mold, the ones who did not live out
family expectations on a cellular or other level."

I really believe this book could save lives. Please let me know if you
read it. (On lactnet or privately) I have recommended her as a speaker
next year for ILCA. SHe is a young (45) doctor with a Holistic clinic in
Maine and show's women how to heal themselves by attending to and healing
the emotional wounds that they have experienced. I can't say enough about it.
