I just searched the AAP website and couldn't find any reference to
Babywise, recommended or refuted.  They have a list of their own
publications of parenting books, which includes one about solving sleep
problems from infancy through adolescence, and claims to discuss all the
popular ideas, from "cry it out" to the "family bed".
It was good to observe that they have a new program to encourage effective
promotion of breastfeeding in pediatricians' offices.  Pedis can enroll in
it and are provided with resources, and a way to track the initiation and
duration rates of their patients.
