I work in a hospital OB unit and mainly work with our breastfeeding Moms. I
am sitting for the IBLCE this year. We are also getting rid of the formula
company diaper bags. I agree that even if you remove the formula, these bags
really undermine a breastfeeding mothers' confidence. The written materials
included suggest that these Moms can't adequately provide enough milk for
their own infants and that breastfeeding is difficult. We are going to
insulated totes with our Women's Health Center logo, an ameda hand pump,
lansinoh, nursing pads, drink bottle for Mom, and an Amy Spangler pocket
guide and bookmark. We plan to add other goodies from local businesses for
little treats as they are donated. I am really excited about this move
toward a more Baby Friendly hospital!
