A mom that I am talking with has been diagnosed with yeast and was given
these instruction by her LC. "apply a small amount of bactroban (mupirocin)
ointment to the area that the baby's mouth covers. Mupirocin is both
antifungal and antibacterial." I have not been able to find any reference to
the fact that it is also anti-fungal. She is also using steroid cream on her
nipple but no other anti-fungal cream.

She is also pumping and not nursing until her nipples heal.

Can anyone help me out here? Is this a commonly used treatment for yeast?
She is not using it as part of Jack's APNO which was the only consistent
reference I could find for using it.

Thanks.
