Dear all,

Traditionally, I write a poem for our family new year’s card with thoughts for the new year.

I also translate it into German and English and I want to share the English version with you.

Those interested in the other versions, can e-mail me off list. ;o)

May we all be aware that every day we have, is precious and can make a difference!

Best,

Marianne Vanderveen-Kolkena IBCLC, Netherlands

Bucket list

Like wild whirling water flows time full of life

elusive and quick through my fingers

I don’t want to wait as if everything lingers

but doubt between decent or sensual drive

How fierce is my being, how wild is my soul?

Where is it my deep dreams are dwelling?

And how to elude all the emptiness telling

of wishes gone by, obsolete lonely goal?

From endlessly thinking to infinite grounds

The longing in words, all of hope in a line

A journey where luck pulls the wire

Convention elapsed, pioneering abounds

No fear of the clouds, just awake, feeling fine

The sun like a muse will inspire
