    I liked Gonneke's 2 Dutch sayings.

    I was a speaker at a large conference once. At the end of the conference, 
all the speakers were invited to a posh restaurant for a meal paid for by a 
pump company.
    I told the waiter that I would pay my own way. The waiter did not accept 
me speaking for myself, but look to the pump company representative for 
permission. The Rep said, "Go ahead, let her be that way."..........................
