Interestingly enough I have a 20 yr old mommy who is in the middle of a
nasty bout of tonsillitis herself.  They are inflamed, infected and causing
breathing challenges for her.  I gave her the suggestion of gargling with
her own breastmilk to help with the infection and inflammation - don't know
for sure it will help but strongly thing it will.  At the very least it
won't hurt.

 

I agree with Nina - ask the surgeon for his references.  If anything, the
breastmilk will help speed the healing and aid in the toddlers comfort.
