Hello all,
I need a lactation consultant, La Leche League leader - somebody for this
mom who has just moved from TN to Gaylord Michigan. She says it is babywise
land and she is dealing with many issues (low supply, slow weight gain in
baby, unsupportive pediatrician, etc.) and she desperately wants to keep
breastfeeding her 8 week old. She has already battled thrush and won but
needs emotional and practical support. She has seen the WIC counselor but
still doesn't feel she is getting all the help and support she needs. We
spoke by phone tonight for almost 70 minutes, but I know she just needs
someone to see her and help her, maybe even do some test weighing of the
baby if things do not improve. Any lactation consultants in the area? I
searched the ILCA site and the nearest was located in Traverse city. She is
in Ostego county somewhat near Petosky and two hours from Traverse city. She
gave me permission to post. She can be emailed at [log in to unmask]
I have her phone too or can give her your contact info.
I appreciate your help!
Micky
